Mexican War



War was declared on Mexico by the United States on May 13, 1846. The war cost the lives of 11,300 American soldiers. The settlement included the annexation by the U.S. of land that became parts of the states of Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Utah, and Colorado.
