Celebrations: a joyous guide to the holidays from past to present by Jim McCann and Jeanne Benedict — Along with recipes and menus, you'll find ideas for floral decorations, dramatic lighting effects, food presentation, and place settings.

The Folklore of American holidays by Hennig Cohen and Tristram Potter Coffin — This reference book includes an entry on the folklore associated with the New Year's holiday in America.

Holiday food by Mario Batali — Contains complete holiday menus, including recipes and wine suggestions, for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
