Grandparents, bring your grandchildren to Grandparent Fun on Wednesday, April 8 from 10am-11am to enjoy stories, songs, crafts and playtime.  This month's theme is Earth Day and gardening.  All grandchildren will receive their own special plant to make their world a little greener.

Children age 4-6 and caregivers are welcomed for a hare-raising fun tea party with Peter Rabbit and his friends.   We’ll hear the Story of Peter Rabbit, make a craft and have a snack.  Online registration begins April 1.

The Canton Public Library and H&R Block have partnered to present a program on April 5 at 1 p.m. to help residents learn how the act affects them and how to prepare to claim these tax credits on their income tax form. Phyllis Wood, H&R Block Tax Specialist, will tell you how to plan for and document tax credits, what information you’ll need for your tax return and some of the differences between this year and last year’s allowances.

Attention 5th and 6th graders! Want a chance to let the library know all about stuff that interests you? Then come to the next Tween Advisory Board meeting and tell us what kinds of books, movies, music, and websites you like and learn about ways you can help out with some different programs! Our next meeting is Saturday, March 28 from 1-2pm (no registration is required). Bring a friend, enjoy some snacks, and help us figure out what the library can do for you!

The Associated Press reported in "Dollars from Dirt: Economy Spurs Home Garden Boom" that people are gardening to save money. I love the thought that backyard gardening can not only make people and the environment healthier, but can perhaps help solve the economic crisis. CPL's "Yard Scraps to Garden Treasures" program on April 22 from 7:00-8:30pm can get you off to a great start by showing you how to compost and enrich your soil.

Come join us anytime between 1-4pm this Sat. for this miniature battle strategy game. Never played before? No problem! Heroscape has easy to learn, simple rules while still retaining great, complex game play. All miniatures will be provided. Just come and play.
