Calling All Babies — August
Calling All Babies! If you are two-years-old or younger, join us Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 10:00-10:30 AM, as we explore Animals. We'll have fun learning about our furry friends and getting to play a bit too. Moms, be sure to register your little one beginning June 26, 2012. We look forward to seeing you there!

Screenplay Writers Workshop
Join award-winning screenplay writer Brian Webster as he helps you develop your clever ideas into actual screenplays. Learn about important contacts, the legal matters and so much more. Adults and teens are welcome on August 8 at 7:00 PM for this unique opportunity.
Summer-themed Card Making
Create a fun summer-themed card using pre-cut on shapes Monday, August 6th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
Tea, Biscuits and Sherlock Holmes
Relax with a biscuit and a cup of proper tea and help the one-and-only Sherlock Holmes solve mysteries. We will show classic Sherlock Holmes movies for your pleasure throughout the afternoon and evening on July 30 beginning at 2:00 PM.
International Murders
Adult librarian, Joyce Simowski, shares her vast knowledge of international murder mysteries. Come learn about new authors and new detectives who are sure to intrigue you and fill your summer afternoons lounging around the pool and reading. Joyce will have lists to share on July 23 at 7:00 PM.
Nature Photography
See through the eyes of professional photographer, Rick Lieder. We will wander the library grounds to capture on film bugs and wildlife. The library will provide disposable cameras or you may bring your own. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from this gifted professional. Join other adults on July 17th at Noon.
Tuesday's Child
Enjoy an afternoon of great traditional and folk music from local band, Tuesday's Child. The group includes two library staff members. Stick around at the end for a special instrument petting zoo of unusual instruments like a dulcimer, mandolin and more. Knit Night
Join other handcrafters for an evening of sharing and learning. All ages and stages are welcome at this informal gathering on Monday, September 10th at 7:00 PM in the Purple Room.
Movie and Craft Olympics edition
In honor of the Olympics, chidren ages 2 to 5 and the their caregivers are invited to join us in the Community Room to watch a short sports themed movie and make a craft.Program Date: Wednesday, July 18 at 10:00 AM in the Community Room
Make Your Own Ice Cream
Did you know that July is National Ice Cream month? Celebrate here at the library on Monday July 23 by making your own ice cream. Kids going into grades 1st through 4th and their caregivers are welcome join us. Please register for one time slot, beginning Tuesday, June 26th. Rain location will be in the Community Room. Program times are as follows:

Movie and a Craft Be a Detective
Children ages 2 to 5 years old and their caregivers are invited to join us in the Community Room on Wednesday, August 8th. We'll be watching Caillou solve mysteries and then make a craft to use when we explore our own world.Wednesday, August 8th 10:00 AM in the Community Room.
Who do you Love? Craft
Kids in grades two-six, join us Tuesday, July 10 from 7:00-8:00 PM and make a special book, card or other craft for someone you love. We will have everything you need, but if there is something special you want to include on your craft, bring it with you.
Cloth Painting for Tweens
Tweens, get ready to get creative. Join us July 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM for our Cloth Painting Program. You supply the paintable item, for example, shirts, canvas shoes, bags, socks, pillowcases, etc., and we will supply the paint and other fun things to decorate your creations with. Registration begins June 26, 2012 and space is limited. See you there!
Snack Tales
Farmer's Market Storytime
On Sundays, June 24, July 15 and August 19, CPL staff visits the Canton Farmer's Market to host a storytimes and crafts. The Canton Farmer's Market is open from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. Storytimes are at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. For all ages.
