Recycling empty

cartridges makes
"cents" for the

Canton takes pride in its environment, an example being Heritage Park.

In the Spotlight

GreenReportCard
The GreenReportCard site lets you compare more than 300 U.S. colleges and universities in terms of ecological sustainability. Each school is given a letter grade for administrative commitment to the issue, food and transportation policy and transparency with its endowment, or the money it invests in the market in between using it to fund construction and other major projects. The grades are determined by independent research and surveys.

You can now check out an Energy Meter from the Canton Public Library!
An Energy Meter can help you find out how much energy your appliances are consuming. By connecting appliances to the meter it will assess how efficiently they are running.

Improved recycling program coming in 2009
Beginning April 2009, Canton Waste Recycling will begin offering single stream curbside recycling (SSR) to all residents. The new program will expand the number of items collected (cardboard, more glass, newspaper inserts, etc.). Please check the Canton Township website for more information.
