A taste of the outdoors inside the library! Join us for a hands-on demonstration of how to select the right gear, pack a backpack, set up a tent, and organize a camp site. We will also discuss trail etiquette and review some of the best locations around the state and the country for enjoying the great outdoors.

Join home cheesemaker, Julia Gold, and find out how easy it is to make fantastic soft cheeses at home. You will discuss and sample cheeses that can be cultivated right in your own kitchen. You will take home some supplies and the knowledge to get you started making your own homestead cheese. While this is an introduction you can easily build upon this knowledge to create many additional varieties of cheese, including hard cheese. Ages 18 and up. Registration Required

David Trotter is a renowned shipwreck discoverer, deep diver author, lecturer and photographer. His shipwreck discoveries and programs have been featured on television and in newspapers throughout the U.S. and Canada. Pinterest Live: Fairy Lanterns and Moonlight Edition

Calling all families! You are invited to join us for a relaxing evening of coloring. Coloring pages for adults and kids, as well as pencils and crayons, will be provided. Simply bring your kids, your creativity, and have fun coloring together.

Muggle Quidditch

Muggle Quidditch

Throw a bludger and catch a snitch when you play Muggle Quidditch, the non-magical version of the game from the Harry Potter novels, at the Heritage Park soccer fields (weather permitting).  Participants should bring their own brooms.  Registration is required for participants (ages 9-17) for each session.  No registration needed for spectators.  Registration for the June 22 session begins May 24.  Registration for the August 9 session begins July 26.  Maps to the playing fields will be available at the Library on game days.  Costumes are encouraged (but not required)!

Dungeons & Dragons Gaming Club: CYS Edition

Roll up some fun with kid-friendly Dungeons & Dragons Gaming! This ongoing program takes place the fourth Monday of every month. Come to the June or July session to earn your Game On: On the Scene badge for Connect Your Summer!  All playing materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own dice and/or D&D 5th Edition Character Sheet. This program is suggested for ages 9-12, and no registration is required.
