Computer Skills Help for Beginners

Are you looking to build a foundation of strong computer skills, including Internet use and setting up an email account? Every public computer in the library now has self-guided activities for practice with mouse skills, copying/pasting, and more, with trusted experts on hand every Wednesday evening and Saturday morning to answer any questions you may have or connect you to additional resources. Computer Skills Help for Beginners provides a safe space to build confidence and learn the things you need to feel “computer savvy” in the Digital Age.

Computer Skills Lab for Beginners

If you are looking to build a foundation of strong computer skills, including Internet use and setting up an email account, please stop in to CPL's Internet Lab between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the second Saturday of each month. We will have guided activities for practice with mouse skills, copying/pasting, and more, with trusted experts on hand to answer any questions you may have or connect you to additional resources. The Computer Skills Lab for Beginners is a safe space to build confidence, and learn the things you need to feel “computer savvy” in the Digital Age.

Mini Minecraft

For the littlest minecrafters, we offer a special session geared just for them! Participants ages 5-7 who already have a Minecraft PC account can participate in a themed building event in our private world. Children must have prior experience using a mouse and playing the game on a PC. Parents are encouraged to stay and assist on an as needed basis. Registration Required and begins June 23rd.

Intermediate Excel 2016

A more advanced Excel class, great for work or school projects. Learn custom sorting and conditional formatting to make sense of your data. Create eye-catching tables, charts and graphs. Prerequisite: Beginning Excel or previous experience with Excel.
