Congress Revising NCLB Law

Lawmakers in Washington are revising the No Child Left Behind Law with hopes in fixing flaws after months and years of impassioned debate and criticism from educators and parents. The law requires yearly testing of elementary and some secondary school students and holds schools and districts accountable for poor test scores. It is up for reauthorization this year, which means Congress must vote on whether to extend it.
