Cold Cash for Good Grades

This morning on Good Morning America, education correspondent Ann Pleshette Murphy reported on a new and controversial method for improving student performance and attendance in socially, low-economic school districts. The Spark Program was developed by a Harvard economist to motivate students in disadvantaged areas to achieve good grades and attendance by rewarding them with cash deposits into their bank accounts.
