The author examines religious green activism in the U.S., Zimbabwe, Taiwan and the Vatican. His approach is ecumenical, encompassing Jewish and Christian theologians as well as Buddhist teachers, interfaith groups, secular organizations and the combination of the last two. His conclusion is that religious people and organizations are among the most committed, persuasive environmental activists today.
