Summer Reading Edition
Summer Reading Kick Off
Start your Summer Reading off right! Come to the library to register ages 2 and up for Summer Reading.
Ages: 2 through Adult
Time: Monday, June 16 @ 9am-9pm
Location: Community Room
If you can't make it that day, come in anytime before July 25 to sign up. Check out all the fun for Tween Summer Reading.

Tween Book and Pizza Club
Ages: 5th and 6th graders
Get together with other tweens, eat pizza & talk about a great book. Register online, then pick up a copy of the book at the Children’s Reference Desk.

Magicians – Philip and Henry Productions
Are you ready for a high-energy magic show, and lots of audience participation and interaction? ! Registration not required.
Ages: Kindergarten – 6th graders
Time: Tuesday, June 24 @ 2-2:45pm

Animal Magic
This show features magic as a unique and amusing way to introduce children to a vast array of exotic animals. The list of animals varies, but it could include parrots, opossums and giant snakes. Registration not required.
Ages: Kindergartners – 6th graders

Joel’s Juggling Workshop
To grab everyone's attention, Joel Tacey begins the program with a 10-minute mini-juggling demonstration using a variety of exciting props. Then, while sharing juggling trivia and anecdotes, Joel's teaches attendees how to juggling using his easy-to-learn 3 ½ step juggling method. Online registration begins June 19.

Fun in the Sun
Take a break from your summer reading and have some fun in the sun. Activities include games, crafts, music and food! There will be fun for the whole family! Registration not required. Activities will take place behind the library.

Zeemo – the Yo Yo Genius
Zeemo is a master with yo-yos! Kids, Teens and Adults will be amazed at his antics. Zeemo's act also includes juggling, magic and puppets. Registration not required.

Ice Cream Social @ the Library
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Come learn how to make your own ice cream. Add some extra toppings to make a delicious ice cream sundae. Online registration begins July 15. Pick one timeslot.

Science Alive
Science Alive is back! What interesting live animals will they bring this time? Online registration begins July 21. Pick one timeslot.

Going Buggy Over You
Design a cupcake to make a yummy buggy creation.

Tie Dye Fun!
Are you creative? Get ready to show your style. Bring a white t-shirt, white socks or any other item to tie-dye. Registration not required.
Ages: 5th and 6th graders
Time: Thursday, July 31 @ 3-3:30pm, 4-4:30pm or 7-7:30pm
Location: Meet in the Children's Department then go outside as a group.
Tween Gaming @ the Library
Come on in for an afternoon of open gaming. There will be fun, food and video games. Registration not required.
Ages: 5th and 6th graders
Time: Thursday, August 21 @ 1–2pm

Tween Advisory Board
Fifth and sixth graders: join your friends at the Canton Public Library to let librarians know all about stuff that interests you. Tell us what kinds of books, movies, music, and websites you like and help out with different programs! Contact the library for more information about upcoming meetings.
