Many of these databases are provided to Canton Library users by subscription.  You will have to "sign in" for the paid databases to prove that you are a Canton Library card holder.

InfoTrac for Kids InfoTrac for Kids - Articles from newspapers, books, and magazines on all subjects.
Kids InfoBits - Aimed at students from Kindergarten to 5th grade, this resource features articles from popular magazines as well as maps, charts, and pictures.
Searchasaurus - Find articles, encyclopedia entries and pictures to help with reports.
SIRS Discoverer SIRS Discoverer - Information on all subjects from magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, etc.  Also contains pictures and maps.

Encyclopedia Americana - The online version of the standard print encyclopedia.
Grolier's Encyclopedia Grolier's Encyclopedia - Encyclopedia articles on hundreds of subjects, plus current news articles, research topic ideas, and more.
Information Please Almanac Information Please Almanac - Factual information and statistics on a wide variety of topics including countries, sports, biographies, science, etc.

CultureGrams for Kids Biography Resource Center - A comprehensive database of more than 200,000 people throughout history, across all disciplines and subject areas.

Country Information
CultureGrams for Kids Culturegrams for Kids - Maps, facts, and other information about countries and states.
World Factbook - Facts and maps about countries and other geographic subjects such as time zones, etc.

History
Dictionary of American History - This 2003 authoritative work serves students, scholars, and general readers interested in a wide range of topics in history, from the well studied and familiar to the obscure.
History Reference Center - A comprehensive history database for U.S. and world history.

Reading Recommendations
Novelist K-8 - This database is great for finding books similar to your favorites.

Photos
AccuNet/AP Photo - Archive library of current photos and selected archival images from the Associated Press.
