is Cookie Month!
October is also
Cookie Month. What a great thing to celebrate. Cookie Monster must
be so proud. There are some great recipes out there for making fun
cookies and after you are done making them; half of the fun is sharing
them with friends and family. Oh yeah, and eating them too!

Something Nice Day (October 5th)
Since Oct. 5th is Do Something Nice Day, kids and parents can really
get into the act by doing nice things for each other, for family
members, or in their community. Here are a few community sites help

Sukkot
The Jewish Holiday of Sukkot will be celebrated through October
3rd this year. It occurs on the fifth day after Yom Kippur and lasts
for seven days. Sukkot is so unreservedly joyful that it is commonly
referred to in Jewish prayer and literature as Z'man Simchateinu
, the Season of our Rejoicing. Here are some ways you and your family
can learn more about this Jewish Holiday.

Pasta Day (Oct 25th)
An old family
favorite, Pasta gets its own day October 25th so eat up and enjoy!
Don’t forget to think outside the box—pasta is also
great in haunted houses as one of those weird squishy things that
kids love to feel and it’s easy to make.

Halloween
(October 31st)
Halloween can be a really great time of year for kids. It’s
so much fun getting to dress up like your favorite superhero or
Disney princess. However, kids and parents also need to be safe
while out Trick-or-Treating so here are some websites that have
tips on being safe for Halloween and tips for creating great costumes.
