Every single time a new Star Wars or Star Trek book comes out, you guys have it within a week.
But if something is "deep" or thought-provoking, it never gets ordered. The Hugo Award winners, which is SciFi's highest award, and runner-ups, are never ordered. They are relevant, make people question and discuss our current world, and are great reading. Can you correct this?
Thanks for taking the time to send a comment. The library does have many Hugo Award winning books (as well as the runner-ups), with the most recent being "The Windup Girl" by Paolo Bacigalupi for 2010. We also own all of the nominations for the 2011 award. If there is a title that you would like the library to purchase, you are always welcome to send a request using our suggestion form https://www.cantonpl.org/suggest.
