1322051.jpg Based on one of the greatest moments in sports history, this film tells the story of Herb Brooks (played by Kurt Russell), the player-turned-coach who led the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team to victory over the seemingly invincible Russian team.Do you believe in miracles?

The Heart of the Game

This is a must-see inspirational documentary detailing six seasons both on and off the court of the Roosevelt Rough Riders girls basketball team. Youll cheer for Darnellia Russell, a tough and talented inner city girl, who battles off-court threats to regain eligibility. Coach Bill Resler is crazy and inspiring and clearly is teaching young women as much about life as he is about basketball.

1416200.jpg This film was inspired by the true story of Jim Ellis who in the mid 1970s starts a swim team at the Philadelphia Department of Recreation. Terrence Howard who plays coach Ellis takes a ragtag group of underprivileged kids and not only teaches them to swim but also to take pride in themselves.

We Are Marshall

1416225.jpg We Are Marshall is a film based on one of the greatest sports tragedies of all times. On November 14, 1970 an airplane carrying the Marshall University football team and coaches crashed, killing everyone on board. This movie portrays what it was like for the campus and community left behind to try to rebuild itself afterward. Touching and poignant, this film will move you. Matthew McConaughey as Coach Lengyel is an added bonus.

The Miracle Match

1393958.jpg This is a film about what it takes to build a team, to foster camaraderie and to work together. This story is based on details of a legendary upset in the early days of world cup soccer. I was thoroughly engaged by this triumphant story of celebration of the human spirit, love of the sport and pride of country.
