Ender's Game
by Orson Scott Card
One of the best science fiction books I have ever read. It puts you in the place of Ender Wiggin, a child in a dark time of Earth's future. When strange aliens from the far side of the universe attack, the world's fate is put into the hands of children. This book is so entertaining, it's hard to put down! Trickster's Choice
by Tamora Pierce
A fantasy book that follows Aly of Pirate's Swoop. She gets captured and sold into slavery in the Copper Isles. The God of the isles employs her to watch over the children of the family she works for. But watch out, in this book, things aren't always as they seem. It was so entertaining to watch Aly grow mentally. All-American Girl
by Meg Cabot
Funny, funny book! You look through the eyes of Sam Madison, a normal, rebellious teen, until she saves the life of the President of the United States! Sam has a great point of view on her life, and all the things wrong with it. Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging
by Louise Rennison
A FUNNY British book, complete with crazy slang that makes little sense to the average American. Luckily, there is a glossary in the back so you can look up words. The plot is fast paced and Georgia touches on teen subjects with wit and humor! The Golden Compass
by Philip Pullman
This book is set in our world and a world just like ours, but not. Lyra is the young heroine along with her Daemon (see I told you it was different). It's so well written, I found myself wishing for a Daemon! The two of them go on an adventure, traveling through unknown worlds.
