I read Shakespeare's The Tempest this summer, and then this weekend I saw it performed at Star Jaycee Park in Royal Oak.  It is one of my favorite things to do during the summer.  
The Water Works Theatre Company performs Shakespeare outdoors for three weeks every summer.  They utilize the outside setting in fun and creative settings.  For this particular presentation of The Tempest, characters even wear handmade masks that significantly add to the telling of the story.
It's highly recommended!  If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, The Tempest will be showing for one last weekend.  It closes on Sunday August 7th.
