While on vacation last week in the Outer Banks, I took a daily sunrise beach walk. One morning, I came upon this starfish washed up on the sand. I turned it over (gently) and noticed its tube feet were still moving! Though the surf was kind of rough, I figured the starfish didn't stand a chance of surviving as it was stranded on the beach. So I picked it up and tossed it back into the ocean. I hope it survived...
