And nothing but the truthiness: the rise (and further rise) of Stephen Colbert by Lisa Rogak — The most revealing part of this story is about Colbert's childhood, which was tragic on a Cheaper By the Dozen scale. My favorite part of the book is one of the last sentences, a quote from Colbert: "Not living in fear is a great gift, because certainly these days we do it so much. And do you know what I like about comedy? You can't laugh and be afraid at the same time..."
