Though it isn't the largest, Canton's Farmers Market is one of the best around! It's open every Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm (however, it's closed July 7 for the holiday) and is located at Preservation Park in Cherry Hill Village. All food, arts, crafts and other items sold at the market must be grown or made in Michigan. I really enjoy buying locally grown produce and farm fresh eggs, asking the Master Gardeners questions, checking out the food demonstrations by Michigan chefs, talking with the farmers about my own backyard "crops," and listening to the live music on the front porch of the historic Bartlett-Travis House. There are also activities for the kids (including storytimes hosted by Canton Public Library!) and opportunities to tour the historic farm equipment on site. Something for everyone!
