Dragon Drive 1 and 2 by Ken-ichi Sakura
Mom's just getting the hang of the program, and put the 2 books under 1 badge-can't edit so we're making another badge w/ both in it too. Wes loved both the books, and will read more in this series (8 yr old boy).

I read a book that I love

I read a book to earn this badge:
Divergent, by Veronica Roth
I loved this book a lot, because of the action and suspense of the story. You think that something is going to happen, but instead something else happens. This is my favorite dystopian book, because of it's plot and well developed characters. I strongly recommend this book to all of the dystopian readers out there. Also, the 3rd installment to the series, Allegiant is coming out this fall, and the Divergent movie will be coming out in March 2014!

Spent Some Time Outside Reading

I read a book to earn this badge:
How Eskimos Keep Their Babies Warm by Mei-Ling Hopgood

How Eskimos keep their babies warm: parenting wisdom from around the world by Mei-Ling Hopgood — This was an interesting look at differing methods and philosophies of parenting all over the world. With an almost-three-year-old and another baby on the way, I found the varying ideas about potty training, discipline, father involvement, play vs. work, and even sleep training to be fascinating. I thought this was great book that does not take the part of one method over another (one of the most frustrating flaws of so many parenting books).
