Primrose Squarp's parents have been lost at sea for months, but she insists they're still alive somewhere, shipwrecked and waiting for rescue. As she waits for their return, she moves in with her uncle, befriends the sassy owner of The Girl on the Red Swing cafe (where everything is served on a waffle), and deals with her school's snooty guidance counselor, Miss Honeycut. I loved the colorful cast of characters in this book, as well as the vivid descriptions of Primrose's hometown of Coal Harbour, British Columbia.

We had chocolate brownies with sprinkle on top. It's good.

I made dosas and peanut chutney for breakfast today.

My husband and son loved them! Dosas are savory crepes that are a breakfast staple in South India.

Afternoon tea with friends

went to Antonio's for dinner. I love the bread!

I made my own burgers while camping

the burger had 2 buns[as usual],a slice of cheese,lettuce,mustard,4 pickels,1 jalapeno,1 patty[vegetarian],and 1 tomato

I ate a sandwich

The sandwich had a veggie patty, onions, lettuce, mustard, cheese, jalapeñoes, and buns.

I cooked vegetables in coconut milk.

It's a great way to get my toddler to eat vegetables. He loves the flavor of coconut, and it is a joy to watch him pick out the veggies and thoughtfully chomp on them. I put whatever I could find in the frig- peas, beans, carrots, cauliflower, sweet potatoes. I even tossed in cubes of tofu.

Baked chocolate cake - new recipe test out

I watched an episoide of Laura Vitale

Superb show... made mint chocolate chip ice cream

Invented a new recipe of veggies and cod

It turned out pretty good; better than expected!

I learned how to make Chili Mac and made it for my family.
