Squish! Game On!

Game on! by Jennifer L. Holm & Matthew Holm — I could have read this for Geek Out too, but since the title was Game On, I couldn't resist.   Squish has some problems resisting the draw of a new video game, with some rather humbling consequences. Why haven't I read Squish before? He's lots of fun!

Little blog on the prairie by Cathleen Davitt Bell

Gen Welsh and her family are spending the summer in Wyoming at a frontier camp. The camp requires participants to live like it's the 1880s - clothing, outhouses, growing your own crops, milking cows, the whole bit. Knowing the summer will be miserable, Gen sneaks in a forbidden cell phone and uses it to text her friends back home. When Gen's friends use her texts to create a blog chronicling her experience, it goes viral, causing everything to slowly unravel.
