I watched Groundhog Day and I thought that it was actually pretty good and funny!

My brother wanted me to read him a story so I decided to read him the first book to the Magic Tree House Series. The 1st book is about 2 kids named Jack and his younger sister Annie. One day they discover a treehouse full of books. But when Jack picks up a dinosaur book and then wishes that he could really see the Pteranodon pictured in one of them, it appears at the window and they find themselves in a dinosaur land. They decide to explore the land and soon are threatened by a Tyrannosaurus.Good thing the Pteranodon comes to their rescue. Soon after the rescue, they had figured out enough about the magic that carried them back in time to be able to use it to return home. If you want to find out what was the magic that carried them to this land, I recommend that you read the book to find out. This is also a great book for beggining chapter book reader.

I did a little project about the alamo museum and learned about the battle between Texas and Mexico

So many acclaimed actors in this series make it a treat to watch.

McGulpin Rock (west of Mackinaw City, on the shore of Lake Michigan) is 5 times the size of the Pilgrim's Plymouth Rock and dates 5 years before the Pilgrims even arrived on the Mayflower... but it doesn't get as much publicity! Native tribes used this huge rock to guage the rise and fall of the Great Lakes. It is 9 feet tall and weighs an estimated 54 tons We walked right up to this really big, old rock and took pictures.

A non-fiction book about the World's Fair in Chicago during the 1890's and the serial killer that used that occasion to find his victims. Anytime that I can find a non-fiction book about a serial killer, I will jump on it. The psychology behind psychopaths is very interesting.

How things were before i was born and how things are now. really interesting.

I made a 60's tie dye shirt at the library with my mom and my sister.

I went to the Titanic exhibit at Henry Ford Museum with my mom. We got a ticket as we "boarded" with the name of a real passenger. At the end of the experience we learned that my passenger did not survive.

This is a book by Alfred Anderesh and is based on a true time during his schooling in southern Germany just before WW II. The director of the school was the father of the infamous Himmler of the Nazi regime. It was very well written and had a powerful impact.  I really enjoyed it, even if it was not the mystery book I thought it would be by the title.

It was a long book but it was interesting.
