Picking Up Holds While Building is Closed

While the building is closed to the public, we are offering a scheduled pickup service.

  • Select the items you wish to check out from the catalog and put a hold on them. 

  • We will notify you via e-mail or text when your items are ready.

  • The notification has a link to a scheduling system. Sign up online and schedule a pickup time.

  • At your scheduled time, come to the library and follow signs to the designated pickup spot. Staff will distribute holds from the outside door of the Community Room (to your left as you are facing the main doors). Follow all social distancing procedures, remain 6 feet away from other people in the area, wear a mask, don't come if you feel ill or have been in contact with someone who is ill.  If additional holds are ready for pick-up at the time of your scheduled appointment, they will be added to your order.

  • Return items, payments and account issues cannot be handled at the pickup station. Please put returns in the outdoor slot and call 734-397-0999 or email cplemail@cantonpl.org with any questions or concerns. 

We are very excited to be loaning items again, and we know you are excited to get them! We ask for your patience as we start this phase of service.
