Can you give me an idea of what Mindfulness is? Is this like meditation or something like that? A better description of what the class is about would be helpful.

This workshop will cover specific techniques you can use to live fully in the present moment. These techniques help reduce stress and build resiliency.  Our featured presenter Laurel Hicks will give a 60 minute presentation and then answer questions.

Hi! I am the presenter. We will be using forms of mindfulness meditation within the class. Nothing too long. And we will use different mindfulness skills that are proven to help with stress reduction. You do not need to participate in the meditation portion if you choose not to. Hope this brief explanation is helpful.
