Diwali

The Diwali function at Canton Public Library deserves the highest compliments for the organizers for putting together an outstanding program. We are proud to be residents of Canton, where cultural diversity is appreciated in a manner shown tonight. Thanks.

RockSmith

Hello CPL! I am awaiting RockSmith for PS3. I am in the queue and would like to know if you have an idea of an expected date that it will arrive? Thanks =)

e-mail newsletter

Have you all checked out the Plymouth Library's Website? Good example of what a website can be. the newsletter is OK, but not laid out in any kind of inviting way. Again, the Ply Library has an email they call Wowbrary where they showcase the latest acquisitions. It's fun to scroll thru and I'm drawn in every time. I wasn't drawn in to the newsletter from the Canton Library, though I realize you are doing something different. Plymouth is still announcing it's programs in hard copy, but again very invitingly done with a great layout. I'll bet you can do better!

computer classes

I am interested in taking some of your computer classes. Im hearing impaired and want to know the size of these classes. How many people maximum, do u allow per class? Im concerned about not getting one on one attention. Please let me know because I would like to take the Nov 9th class so I will be looking forward to hearing back from you this week. Thank you so much!

Thank you

I love this library. I come from Alabama 2 months a year. I found the people here are very helpful and very friendly. The collections of books and the departments are great. I love it. Thank you very much.

Unable to submit suggestion for purchase

I have been attempting to submit a suggestion for purchase of: SNOW FLOWER AND THE SECRET FAN DVD. The website sends me to a link to subscribe to the newsletter, which I did; but it will not allow me to go back to submitting the request--Any suggestions on how I can get out of this loop. I have tried numerous times. Thanks for your assistance.

Saving documents

It needs to be posted by all computers that in order to save you need a jump/thumb drive. I came once with a floppy disk and once with a cdrw disk. Both on SAME DAY! I should have been told that saving can only be done on a jump drive. Then I was told "you can buy a drive for $20." Thanks but no thanks! I'll use that to buy gas that I WASTED coming back!

Do You Find School Boring?

Well then, you might try enrolling in either Master Dreadthorn's School for Wayward Villains or Blatt School for the Insanely Gifted. Granted, you must be the child of a notorious evil entity, such as Dracula, The Big Bad Wolf, or a warlock and be lacking in evil to normally qualify for entry into the former school, but heck, you could always give it a shot. "Gifted" has a lot of definitions. The deciding factor for entry into the later school is that you have the ability to invent something the headmaster might want to steal from you, thereby increasing his fame, fortune, and power — but you don't know this of course. Trust me, if you do have the opportunity to attend one of these schools, you will gain a whole new perspective on education.

Villain School : good curses evil by Stephanie S. Sanders — Join Rune, Jez, and Wolf Junior as they try to succeed at a nearly impossible Plot in order to avoid being expelled for not being bad enough.

The School for the Insanely Gifted by Dan Elish — Wild rides, literally, are in store for you with Daphna, Harkin, and Cynthia as they embark on an international search for Daphna's missing mother and prepare for the school's upcoming "Insanity Cup" competition. Don't miss this action-packed adventure fantasy. If you liked The Mysterious Benedict Society, you will love this for sure.

Fast, fun, reads, both of these weird school books are sure to please!

Computor Classes

Morning, Do you offer your computer classes for non residents? Thank you Sandy

Does the east/west entry drive need a speed limit sign?

Hello,

Does the east/west entry drive (specifically where patrons have access to the north/south crossing to the CPL) need speed bumps or a speed sign?

At just about 3pm today (Tues. 10/25/2011) I observed a library employee speed rather rapidly through this intersection. This seems to be an unsafe practice as it could put patrons in jeopardy (including me!).

Sorry to say, I have seen this sort of thing before. I am sorry to say I don't have a video of it, but will be carrying my video camera when visiting the CPL next time and after that.

Thank You.

requesting Library Connections via e-mail

I can't figure out where on your web-site I can sign up. Help! Or just put my info in and it will be done. 25149 00103 5860 Thank you.

Enewsletter

Please tell me how to sign up to receive my newsletter via email. I can't find that option on the website. Thanks.

tissues

I would very much appreciate it, if the budget cuts exclude tissues. It is the flu/cold season, & tissues would be of most usefulness.

Easy Chapter Books

I am looking for suggestions of EARLY CHAPTER BOOKS for my son. He likes the Dinosaur Cove series you have, for example. (I purchased them myself as well!) Any other EASY series you can suggest? Thanks!

Computer classes

Does the library offer any computer classes for high school aged students?

Babysitting Class

Hello, My son took the babysitting class offered at the library last Saturday and this todayday. My understanding was that the participants would be certified in first aid, but my son said the teacher today said they would not be certifying the students. Can you please clarify? Thanks, Erin Skaff

Magic Tree House

Please shelve by number. It is much harder to find the books by title; I don't know what title I am looking for--only which numbers to read next. Thank you.

Teacher looking for a similar book

I am a first grade teacher and I am starting my maps unit. I was looking for Mouse Views: What the Class Pet Say by Bruce McMillan. I could not find it through the online catalog and I was wondering if you have something similar to this book. The book is about the class pet mouse's perspective of the class room and the children are to identify the objects from this point of view. Thank you!
