Online Library Card Application

This application is for first time library card applicants who are residents of Canton, Michigan, or who reside elsewhere but either work for a business located in Canton or own property in Canton.

How to apply online:

  • Complete the form below
    1. choose how you would like to receive your card
    2. check the "I Accept" button
    3. click "Submit Request"
  • You will need to present a current driver's license or state identification card, or one piece of photo identification and something that verifies your local address (such as a utility bill) the first time you use your card
  • Applicants under 16 years old without proof of residency must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who has proof of residency the first time the card is used
  • Non-resident Canton property owners and those employed by a business located in Canton but who reside elsewhere must document this special status.
