Homeschool High School

How do I decide what classes my student needs for high school? How do I count credits? Can my child attend college if he's homeschooled? And, what about the prom?

Families thinking about homeschooling through high school often have these questions and many more. Join us on Monday, August 27 from 6:45-8:45 PM as we come together to ask and answer questions about homeschooling through high school. We'll hear from families who have successfully made it through the high school years (and gone on to college success) as well as families who are currently in the process. If you are approaching the high school years in your homeschool, already in the high school years, or just thinking about homeschooling high school, join us for a night of answers!

Copper Tom: Music, Comedy and Storytelling

Copper Tom incorporates cool, sometimes arcane, rhythms into accessible songs.  He draws inspiration from American roots music, including old time country, blues and roots rock and roll.  He might even throw in a little New Orleans funk, Trinidadian calypso, reggae and some fun tales to boot.  Join us on Wednesday, July 25 from 7:00-8:00 PM as we sing and dance to Copper Tom's eclectic music.

Paper Airplanes and Jet Engines

On Friday, June 29 starting at 10:00 AM, join us in the Community Room to learn how to create a number of awesome paper airplanes, but it doesn't stop there. The kind folks at the Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology (MIAT) will discuss how and why we fly and fire up one of their real jet engines in the west side parking lot. How cool is that? This program is recommended for patrons aged eight and up. In case of rain, the program will remain in the Community Room.
