We are recruiting new members for CPL’s Teen Advisory Board. If you are a teen interested in helping your library, making a difference in your community and earning community service hours, then TAB is for you! Beyond Reality Digital Photo Contest

Our digital photo contest celebrates the theme for Teen Read Week, "Read Beyond Reality". We are looking for photos that are beyond real. Entries can be almost anything as long the photo is your own. Instructions and official entry form will be posted on October 1st.

Well, it looks like it soon will. Netflix may soon be available streaming on your Wii on it's own "Wii channel". Just think, no more having to send back your movies after you are done, or wait for your next title to arrive. Check out this article for more information. Would you be interested in this feature?

Book Certificate Redemption

If you completed Summer Reading this year, don't forget to redeem your book certificate August  5th - August 12th in the Community Room.  If you are going to be out of town or unable to make it to the library during that time, see a librarian to pick up your book early.  Book certificates will not be redeemed after August 12th.  If you haven't completed your reading yet, remember that August 12th is the last day to turn in your logs or claim any prizes.

A call for young writers ages 13-17

Do you love to write?  Are you looking for a way to win cool prizes and have you work published?  If so, you should check out the American Veteran, The Power of One Essay and Scholarship Project.  Teens are asked to write about a veteran who showed the ability to be a role model and has shown the "power of one" by making a difference in the lives of others.  For more details and the contest rules check out this link.
