Over 19,000 participants are expected in the annual Detroit Free Press Marathon Sunday October 18, 2009.  The International Marathon Race has a unique route, re-vamped this year, where runners cross the U.S./Canadian border not once but twice.  Participants can choose the Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5-Person Relay and 5K Fun Run & Fitness Walk. Tie up those laces or start training for next year's race with material here at the library and challenge yourself!
