Listen @ the Library: Chamber Music Society of Detroit
The Chamber Music Society of Detroit presents the first in a series of music presentations at the Canton Public Library. The goal of the Society is to "strengthen families through musical outreach in the heart of the community." We will be treated to delightful chamber music performed by very talented musicians. The performance will include interactive demonstrations and lecture which will engage and entertain the audience of all ages. This presentation will be given by the Kyodai Brass Quintet. Kyodai (“Brothers”) Brass was formed at the Cleveland Institute of Music by two sets of musical brothers: Conrad, Gary and Douglas Jones (trumpet, trombone and tuba), and Hayato and Hirofumi Tanaka (trumpet and horn). The quintet is known for its eclectic programming, exciting performances, extremely diverse repertoire, and commitment to educating audiences of all ages about live music and the brass idiom.
Please bring the entire family for an amazing afternoon of memorable music on Saturday, February 8 at 3:00 PM in our Community Room.
