Have you ever been ‘sniffed’ by a snake? Or tickled by a tortoise? Here’s your chance to meet and learn about new animal friends visiting from the Great Lakes Zoological Society! Come explore the different colors, textures and behaviors found in the animal kingdom as the library goes wild! GLZS animal programs are designed to inspire and connect kids with the natural world by providing up-close animal experiences with some special friends from all corners of the Earth. Help us celebrate Earth Day by learning about the many creatures including a blue-tongued skink, spiny-tailed lizard, pancake tortoise, Brazilian rainbow boa (pictured above), Honduran milk snake and Madagascar hissing cockroaches who all call our planet home. Space is limited and both children and adults who wish to attend are required to register. Registration begins on March 25.
Program times are as follows:
Please register for only one of the two sessions.
