Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, Dr. Lauren Katz and Dr. Joanne Pierson of the Literacy, Language, and Learning Institute (3LI - www.3-li.org) will discuss the role that everyday board and card games, including some of the classics, play in helping children develop language and literacy skills. Drs. Katz and Pierson, speech-language pathologists with advanced degrees in education and a specialty in dyslexia, will highlight games for preschoolers to young adults that the family can enjoy together while supporting and building skills in vocabulary, memory, social language, comprehension, reading, and spelling. So come in on December 11 from 7:00-8:00 PM and get great ideas to round out your holiday shopping list!
