October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month. As many as 20 % of the student population in the U.S. are dyslexic. Dyslexia is a commonly misunderstood developmental reading disorder because it can be found in bright, highly intelligent, creative and innovative people. The HBO documentary film, The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia, follows four students on their journey as they face the challenges and cope with their diagnosis. Please join us on Wednesday, October 14, at 7:00 PM in the Community Room for a special screening of The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia.
