Since the early 1990s, the number of individuals diagnosed with autism has risen at an astonishing rate. In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, local author Ryan Ennis will present key information for understanding and strategies for supporting children with autism. With 16 years of experience as a school teacher and a media specialist, Ryan has developed programs and written two books on the subject, The Thursday Surprise: A Story About Kids and Autism and The September Surprise: a Story Helping Kids Understand Autism and Co-Teaching, which will be available to purchase. Please join us on Thursday, April 12 from 7:00-8:30 PM for an important evening.
