Four different ones to choose from; Monday Night in the Village, the 8th Annual Backyard Beats, Thursday Night Concerts and the Summer Jazz Series. Relax and enjoy Rock, Jazz, Country, Motown, and more with the whole family!

Get Your Kicks this Weekend at the 28th Canton Cup

Memorial Day weekend brings the Annual Canton Cup, the largest soccer tournament of it's kind in Michigan, right here to Canton. Over 781 teams from across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ontario will compete on soccer fields throughout the area. Check out the new soccer titles recently added to the library's collection.

Flower Power!

Flower Day 2011 at Detroit's Eastern Market will be this Sunday May 15th. The annual event draws over 150,000 people and is one of the largest shows in the country. Hundreds of flower growers from Michigan, Canada and other area states will be offering annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, etc. Bring the whole family for a variety of activities like the Wacky Wagon Contest, Craft Fair, Ask the Experts and the Children's Merry Market Land. First Place

The Detroit Red Wings are heading into game 2 in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Phoenix Coyotes! The Wings have home ice advantage and lead the series. Beginning at 3:00PM the Red Wings take on the Nashville Predators as they wind down the regular season. Then at 4:10PM the Tigers play the New York Yankees where Brad Penny will be matched up against former teammate A.J. Burnett. March Madness continues at 6:00PM with the Final Four NCAA Div I Men's Basketball Championship. First Four winner VCU and Butler vie for a berth to the Championship game. University of Kentucky and University of Connecticut continue the excitement in their bid to the Title at 8:45PM. Grab your snacks, spirit wear, and fresh batteries for the remote and enjoy!

Free Tax Help for Seniors Offered at Summit

The Summit offers free Tax-Aide counseling through AARP as part of an IRS-sponsored program for seniors. Trained and certified volunteer counselors assist people of low-to-middle income with special attention to those 60 and over for both federal and state returns. Big Chill at the Big House!

The University of Michigan and Michigan State ice hockey teams continue their Cold War in the Big Chill on Saturday, December 11th at 3:00PM. It all happens at the University of Michigan Stadium where officials are hoping to break the Guinness World Record for attendance at an outdoor hockey game. If you can't get to the game you'll have an opportunity to skate at the Big House on Sunday December 12th!
