
The Social Security Administration recently released its annual list of the country's most popular
baby names, and for the first time since 1995 the most popular girl's name is
not Emily. The new winner is Emma, followed by Isabella, Emily, Madison and Ava. The name Jacob retained its top spot on the boy's list for the tenth straight year, followed by Michael, Ethan, Joshua and Daniel. Some newcomers to the top 1,000 girl names were Isla (623), Mareli (718) and Milagros (731). New boy names on the list were Aaden (343), Chace (655) and Marley (764).
