Happy Birthday Pigeon Party!

If you love me and my books by Mo Willems, come to my Happy Birthday Pigeon Party. The party goes from 2:00 to 2:45 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2013. This program is for kids ages 3 to 5 years old and their caregiver. Registration will begin Thursday, April 25th. See you there!

May Tween Service Corps

Are you in the 5th, 6th, or 7th grade and looking for ways to fulfill your community service requirement for school? Join us and work as our Tween Service Corps. You can earn one hour of your community service time and also have fun helping out in the Children's Department. Our next date will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 7:00-8:00 PM. We will meet in the Children's Department but we will also be going outdoors.  Please be prompt.

Our project for April will be springy and fun. We will meet on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 2:00-3:00 PM. Registration for this program begins Tuesday, March 26, 2013.

Family Fun Night

Have you found  yourself following rainbows to find pots of gold? Do you have a four-leaf clover tucked in your pocket? Come to our March Family Fun Night, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 7:00-8:00 PM. We'll have a green snack, do some fun St. Patty's Day activities, and if luck travels with us--a surprise! Registration is open on Friday, February 22, 2013 and open to kids ages 5 to 9 years old with a caregiver. See you there!

This exciting program will alternate between art themed and writing themed activities each month. For our December date, we will create festive noodle art. We will meet on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.  Registration will begin Monday, November 19, 2012. See you there!

Book and Toy Collection for Children's Hospital

The Wayne State University School of Library and Information Science Alumni are partnering with Hip Hop Knit Shop and Children's Hospital of Michigan to bring sick kids books, toys and stories and both the Canton and Plymouth Libraries are drop-off points. Starting November 1 through December 12, we will be collecting books and toys, telling stories, navigating art carts and knitting blankets for the kids at Children's Hospital. Join us as we help to make kids feel better this holiday season!
