New Children's Music from Jim Gill

Jim Gill presents music play for folks of all stripes [sound recording] by Gill, Jim — If you love bananas or pizza, this album has songs for you. If you love Mozart or friends, look no further. ABC Activity Time
ABC Activity Time is an informal session where parents, caregivers, children and babies meet together in a relaxed environment. This drop-in playtime includes sensory activities, puzzles, and matching games for children ages birth to 5, with caregiver. No registration required. Program takes place in the Community Room. Program Dates and Times (January 16-February 17):
- Mondays-Saturdays*, 10:30-11:00 AM
- Mondays, 1:30-2:00 PM
- Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:30-8:00 PM

Family Storytimes begin the week of January 16. These storytimes are designed for children ages 5 and under with a caregiver. Storytimes are held in the Community Room and do not require registration. Saturday sessions are in the Purple Room.- Mondays, 10:00-10:30 AM and 1:00-1:30 PM

- Wednesdays, 10:00-10:30 AM and 7:00-7:30 PM

In response to parent suggestions, our board book collection has moved. If you're searching for a sturdy book just right for your exploring young child, look no further. The board books now live outside of the Purple Room. Great for those in Baby Storytime!

Khan Academy — Free Educational Fun
Khan Academy is a free, fun, educational and totally awesome organization. The goal of Khan Academy is to change "education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere." The site contains over 2,700 videos on math, physics, biology, chemistry, finance and art. Students, parents, coaches, and teachers can use Khan Academy in many ways. Teachers and homeschool parents can use this resource to coordinate classwork and monitor student work. Kids looking for homework help can find explanations and practice examples on the virtual scratch pad. Adults looking for continuing education opportunities will find help here as well.- Login to comment

Monkey with a Toolbelt… Continued
Monkey with a tool belt and the seaside shenanigans by Chris Monroe — Have you met Chico the monkey, and his tool belt? If not, you are missing one handy monkey. In this new adventure, Chico helps his friend Clark the elephant fix many problems at a seaside resort. Chico has to fix the leaky boat, the broken sprinkler, and a hole in the roof. But his biggest challenge in the water slide. Can he fix it? Check out the book to find out! There are more Monkey with a Tool Belt adventures available at the library. ZooZical a Musical Story
Have you ever wondered what zoo animals do when the visitors go home? Do they go to sleep, eat lots of food, play games?
