Have you ever called NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) to find out where Santa is on Christmas Eve? The tradition started way back in 1955, when an error in a Sears Roebuck &Co. advertisement encouraging children to call Santa resulted in children calling CONAD (NORAD's predecessor) instead. The Director of Operations at the time, Colonel Harry Shoup, had his staff give the children who called an update as to Santa's whereabouts. As technology has advanced, NORAD now hosts a Santa Tracker website, where you can watch Santa's journey via Google Earth on Christmas Eve. Until then, there are lots of fun games that kids can play while exploring Santa's North Pole home. You can also learn how NORAD tracks Santa and information about the big guy himself. You can track Santa here at CPL as well! We have lots of movies about Santa's life and adventures!
