The environment is important to Canton Public Library and the Canton community. Canton Green Resources:

What's inside the food we eat?

Ever wondered what's in those delicious fast-food hamburgers? Just beef right? Not exactly. Check out the documentary film King Corn to watch two friends as they return to the land of their ancestors, small-town Iowa, to uncover the corn industry and its impact on the American diet. The film also discusses the environmental impact of industrial farming. The film may not answer all of your questions but it will surely get a conversation started.

I watched this a few months ago and still think about it. It's quite eye-opening.

Another great video on this this topic is The Future of Food:

In-depth investigation into unlabeled genetically-modified foods which have become increasingly prevalent in grocery stores. Unravels the complex web of market and political forces that are changing the nature of what we eat
Best Documentary-Deadcenter film festival 2005; Best Documentary 2005-Empire film festival 2005; Audience Award Best Documentary-Ashland independent film festival; Human rights award; Honorable Mention-Ann Arbor film festival

The library owns 2 copies of this and so those waiting for King Corn might want to view this in the meantime.
