I had pushed into my hands recently the book War for the Oaks, and I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. It's about a human rocker girl caught in a faerie war because her presence on the battlefield will turn faeries mortal long enough for them to kill each other...yeah, she's thrilled. She's got a handsome but troublesome faerie bodyguard, and a rockband she's trying ot get off the ground. This book is very, very much dated in the 80's, with lots of 80's music references, so I'll warn you of that, but overall it's a great bit of fairy-fantasy-romance for those people who liked stuff like Wicked Lovely or the Holly Black books.
