Preschool Storytime

Preschool storytimes feature longer books, flannel board and rhymes designed for children ages 3 1/2 - 5. These activities help develop pre-reading and school-readiness skills.  Children must be able to sit independently and be attentive for 30 minutes. Parents may temporarily attend, if needed, to help transition their child to this program. All parents must remain in the children's department. Storytimes will be held in the Friends Activity starting Monday, April 8 through Friday, May 17. Please pick a Monday OR a Friday session. Registration begins March 21.

K Club: Polar Bear Express

The K Club is a transitional and creative program designed for children ages 4-6, pre-k through first grade. This unique program provides children with learning and recreation in the areas of science, art and reading fun. We strive to include this age group in extended activities at the library that are beyond storytime, encouraging lasting library use during their first years of school.

K Club: Monster Bash

Goofy Monsters and Halloween Fun will be a part of our K Club program on Saturday, October 27. We will use creative skills to make our own original monsters, watch a monster science experiment, and design a cool, creepy snack. K Club is designed for children ages 4-6 who are prek/kindergarten or first grade. Registration required. Costumes welcome.

K Club: Let's go Camping

Do you like to camp? Come enjoy some camping fun at our K Club program this summer.  We will share some camp stories, explore a camp science bin, and make some outdoor crafts. K Club is intended for children ages 4-6. Registration begins June 21.

Former first lady, Barbara Bush, passed away this week at the age of 92. She, and Abigail Adams, were the only first ladies to be a wife and mother to a president of the United States. Mrs. Bush was very dedicated to public service and literacy projects. The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy provides access to and choice of educational opportunities to young children and their parents. Children and parents in all 50 states have benefited from these family literacy programs.

K Club: Getting ready for Kindergarten

Are you starting school this year? Are you excited? Come meet new friends, listen to reassuring stories, and explore our back to school sensory table. It will be a great way to start out your new school year. K Club is for children ages 4-6. Registration begins July 24. Registration required.
