Watch This Now!

Wow! The non-fiction DVD, The Natural History of the Chicken, came out in 2000 and if you missed it then, you don't want to miss it now! Do you like unusual stories about animals? Fowl in particular? You will watch with fascination as a woman brings her chicken back to life with CPR, a mother chicken risks her life to save her chicks, and a man takes care of a headless rooster who lives for years.

Check Out Some Suspense!

One of my favorite types of books are suspense novels that quickly draw you in and keep you guessing until the very end. I always lose sleep whenever Nicci French comes out with a new book because I just can't seem to stop turning those pages! Check out her newest offering, Until It's Over.

The Black Parade

Are you looking for some good rock music to listen to that you may not have heard when it first came out? The Black Parade is without a doubt my favorite CD so far of this past decade and definitely deserves to be listened to.

Who Watches the Watchmen?

You may have, since the movie just came to theaters March 6. But did you also read the Watchmen? Arguably one of the best graphic novels ever written, it gives you a new view on superheroes : the deconstruction of the superhero. If you don't normally read graphic novels, don't let that keep you away from this one! The story is rich, entertaining, and thought-provoking. It almost makes you want to throw on a costume and go off to fight crime yourself!

Three Dog Bakery

Are you a dog person who loves to spoil your furry friend? The Three Dog Bakery is a fantastic gourmet treat shop for dogs! They use all-natural ingredients to make their adorable cookies and cakes, not to mention being very reasonably priced. With their added selection of toys, clothing, and just about every dog-related item you can imagine, they have something for everyone. I was just there over the weekend buying a personalized birthday cake for my dog.

Day & Age by The Killers

If you want to hear an amazing CD by a fantastic rock band, check out the newest release from The Killers, Day & Age. This is their third effort, not counting a compilation they also put out, and they just keep getting better and better. They put together a combination of rock and pop that's so catchy you'll be singing all day, and lyrics so entertaining/inspiring that you'll be replaying the songs just to make sure that you hear everything.
