Appreciate a Dragon Day
Did you know that January 16 is Appreciate a Dragon Day?! It's a day where kids are encouraged to visit their local library to look for books about dragons. You can study what other cultures and societies believe about dragons, or just read a story about them. It sounds pretty fun, and there's no shortage of dragon books here! Dragonology is a pretty cool one to try, but there's plenty more to choose from, too! Happy reading!

Storytime @ Home!
With colder weather coming fast and more holiday vacations in sight, it's always great to think about activites you can do indoors with young children. One easy and economical idea is creating your own at-home storytimes. I've gotten some great ideas from Pam Schiller and the library has many of her books and CDs available for check-out. My favorite is The Complete Book of Activities, Games, Stories, Props, Recipes, and Dances for Preschoolers!
