Each year, the U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes the contributions of small businesses to the success of the economy. This week, National Small Business Week is May 23-29.

In these tough economic times, small business owners in Michigan need all the help they can get. Several groups in Michigan have heard the concerns of business owners around the state and have helpful resources. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation is a great place to start for starting, expanding and servicing your Michigan business. Wayne State's TechTown offers workshops and seminars that are both timely and helpful for the Michigan business owner. Other geographic specific business advocate groups, such as SPARK in the Ann Arbor area, are an excellent resource as well.
