It's time for the fourth annual Local Author Event. There are still a few slots open for local authors to share their stories and books with us on Thursday, May 13 at 7:00PM. The authors will each be given a few minutes to speak and will then retire to their respective tables to sell their books and talk with fans.

Adventurer and author, Pam Flowers, returns to Michigan from her home in Alaska to share her latest adventure of dog sledding to the Magnetic North Pole. Pam will share two books that are the result of her travels:
Magnetic North: A Journey to the Magnetic North Pole and Douggie: The Playful Pup Who Became a Sled Dog Hero. Bring the entire family on Thursday, March 25 at 7:00PM in the Community Room. You really must meet this incredible, brave woman.

Everything you wanted to know about pianos will be discussed by the experts from Evola Music in Canton. They will even take a piano apart so we can see the inner workings. Learn the history, how they're made and how to select the perfect piano for your needs. I bet we'll even hear a little music.

Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow is the 2010 Everyone's Reading selection. This novel defined the legal thriller genre and has an infamous surprise ending that most of us don't see coming. Everyone's Reading promotes community dialogue through the shared experience of reading the same book. Pick up a copy of Presumed Innocent at the Canton Public Library and join the discussion.
 
Author Scott Turow will make a special appearance at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill this evening at 7 PM.  A limited number of unclaimed tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, in the theatre lobby beginning at 6 PM.

Reflexology is the scientific study and manipulation of corresponding areas in the hands or feet to organs in your body to reduce stress, encourage good health and promote relaxation. Canton's own Deanna Proske will share the art of reflexology with us on Wednesday, January 20 at 7 pm in the library Community Room. Registration is available online.
