Shugo Chara!

O.k., confession time: Yes, I'm totally addicted to Shugo Chara! Yeah, I'm a guy; what of it? The tiny Charas are just so....cute. Seriously, have you seen them? We just got Volume 6 of the manga in. Check it out. And, if you didn't know, you can watch the anime free (and legally-woohoo!) online at www.crunchyroll.com.

Gunnerkrigg court

Publishers Weekly calls Gunnnerkrigg Court the British boarding school version of Lost. The award winning webcomic is now in printed form! Check it out for a little mystery; it's a mix of magical school adventures akin to Harry Potter mixed with something like the gloomy, gothic, quirkiness of the Adams Family. We've got the book, or visit the webcomic's home online.

Need

O.k., so yes, it does borrow some elements from Twilight, but that being said, Carrie Jones' Need is still a sizzling, page turner. If you're looking for a quick, guilty pleasure to fill the gap after Twilight, give this a try. Well developed characters; clever chapter titles (each one is a different phobia); dangerous pixie king looking for a queen; mysterious, handsome werewolf. You get the idea. Need I go on; you're already hooked, I can tell.

Annotated Pearls

Pearls Before Swine Treasuries: Hilarious, irreverent, funny. The best thing about these treasuries, though, is the author's annotations. See what inspired each strip, wacky stories of reader feedback, and what Stephan Pastis thinks of his own work looking back. Includes 'never before printed' strips, sort of like deleted scenes, with the reasons why. It's a great insight into a comic artist's mind.

Hunter X Hunter

From the creator of YuYu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter dishes up a helping of wildly creative tournament style battle with a side of treasure hunting adventure.&n
