Canton Public Library Trustees Sworn In
CANTON, MI- Two new residents joined the Canton Public Library Board of Trustees at a swearing in ceremony held November 19. Michael Siegrist and Don Turner joined returning trustees James Gillig, James G. Fausone, George Snow and Colleen Van Auken on the library board as a result of November’s general election. Former trustees Nancy Williams and Cecil Young did not seek relection.
Canton Township Clerk Terry Bennett swore in the trustees at a ceremony during the library board’s monthly meeting on November 19. The Library Board of Trustees is made up of community members who are elected every four years on a nonpartisan ballot. They meet the third Thursday of every month at 7:30. The public is invited to attend.

Attention Green-minded Canton Library Users
Green-minded Canton library users can check out books and recycle their paper in one trip! Just bring your paper to one of the bright green bins located in the back of the library parking lot. Acceptable Items: newspapers magazines catalogs school and office paper shredded paper (in bags) mail paperback books Unacceptable Items: cardboard phonebooks glass metal plastics trash (including paper towel and tissue) hardcover books For a list of other recycling resources in the community, please check out CPL's Canton Green Resources and click on "Recycle".
Candle Containers
In honor of the many holidays that use candles in celebrating, we invite
you to come design a container of your own. So come get creative with
beads, glitter, tissue paper and embroidery thread and jazz up a candle
container for whatever holiday celebration you like best! Register online beginning October 28.
